Title / Description: Mikveh and Grave
Provenance: Gamla, Israel
Object Type: image - architecture
Date: 1st C BCE - 67 CE

Commentary: The grave from an earlier period has been filled in during the Hasmonean period to ensure ritual purity in the shop. The basin below is thought to be a mikveh. The mikveh's distance from the press weights, and the presence of press collection basins show that it is probably not another collection basin.
