Commentary: Various fragments of texts from 4Q are displayed on a table in the "Scrollery" (a large room in the basement of the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem). In the beginning years of scroll research the fragments usually were arranged by hand in order to combine them into larger portions of possible textual units, and placed between glass plates to protect them during further study. Later, they were photographed and put on microfiches. Today, all of the texts are digitalized an can be studied on computers.
