Commentary: The Good Samaritan Inn (al-Khan al-Ahmar) is located on the road between Jerusalem and Jericho. It is a roadside resting area from the 16th century CE. A 5th century CE church lies across the street to memorialize the New Testament story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37).
