Commentary: Priene is located on the western coast of modern day Turkey. This is a picture of the Temple of Zeus, located to the east of the city's agora. Several of the temple's Ionic columns, pictured here, have been reconstructed, and many more lay in sections around the Temple. Mount Mykale can be seen in the background of this picture.
