Title / Description: Iron, Bronze and Bone Arrowheads from Lachish
Author / Creator: NA
Provenance: Lachish, Israel

Commentary: Although no ancient examples complete arrows have been found, arrowheads are plentiful. They were most often made from iron and were usually flat, having a leaf-shaped or triangular outline. Especially heavy arrowheads, or those with round or square cross-section were most likely used for piercing armor. Note the single bone arrowhead in this sampling.
